Emily writes from an undisclosed location.

Having been rejected one too many times by arts/culture organizations and publishers (from Bitch magazine to the Department of Cultural Affairs “Artist Stories” archives), Art vs. Mediocrity was created by Emily Rapport in order to publish occasional art-related articles and essays.

Ms. Rapport currently works as a freelance designer at Eat Paint Studio and continues to pursue her fine art career. She is also active in her arts community – visit www.corneliaartsbuilding.com to find out more.

Ms. Rapport studied painting at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York (94-95), and received her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2005.
